Work and Certificate for 2024-2025
In 2024, the project was carried out under the title "The Barrier-Free Voice of Mathematics." In this scope, 10 mathematics books at university entrance, YKS, and KPSS levels were narrated and added to the GETEM archive. In 2025, this contribution expanded with 15 books and 3,551 pages of audio content.

Our University Received the Institutional Contribution Certificate from Bogazici University GETEM
As part of the "13th Volunteer Reading Certificate Ceremony" organized by the Bogazici University Technology and Education Laboratory for the Visually Impaired (GETEM), which aims to facilitate access to information resources for individuals with visual impairments, Izmir Demokrasi University was awarded the Institutional Contribution Certificate.
This year, what made the recognition especially distinctive was that Izmir Demokrasi University was the only public university that contributed both institutionally and as a community.
2025 Contribution and Scope
Within the scope of the project, our students recorded books from core undergraduate courses such as Turkish Language, History, Information Technology, Mathematics, Special Education, and Psychology for their visually impaired peers. Three books authored by our university faculty members were also narrated and included in the GETEM catalog.
One of the fundamental undergraduate textbooks, Psychology, was narrated in English by students from our department. Below, our students and the books they narrated voluntarily are presented as a representative list.
